As an individual Family Celebrant, I recognise the responsibility entrusted to me in my relationships with:

The families I serve ~ The public at large ~ The profession I represent.

I have agreed to,

  • Maintain all matters in the highest standard of professional and personal conduct.
  • To respect in all circumstances, the confidentiality of the family.
  • To preserve the right of personal choice and decision making for families and respect their cultural and spiritual beliefs.
  • To provide accurate information concerning the ceremonies offered, the cost of these ceremonies and the functions and responsibilities accepted on behalf of my clients.

  

 

Code of Practice

  • I acknowledge that as an Independent Family Celebrant contracted to work with other agencies, such as funeral directors or wedding venues, I am committed to carry out my duties within the code of ethics and practice set down by them.
  • When supporting clients  to personalise a ceremony using music, poetry, photographs or any other element, I will not introduce my personal beliefs, prejudices or preconceived ideas.
  • After the ceremony I will not make regular contact with clients unless requested to do so by them.
  • After a funeral service, I will not employ any form of bereavement support and instead, signpost to relevant services.
  • No advances of a personal or inappropriate nature should ever be made or responded to, as the security and vulnerability of a family should be protected at all times.

Our commitment to continuous training

I am dedicated to providing the highest standard of service, which is why continuous professional development is at the core of my practice. I have undergone extensive training to ensure every ceremony is delivered with expertise and sensitivity. My qualifications include comprehensive celebrant training from The Academy of Professional Celebrants.

I have also completed Obitus training. Obitus provides an extensive data base of music, which I can access and use during a celebration of life.

I have also learnt traditional and less well known rituals, from hand fasting to the use of unity candles. These are tailored to your needs.

Rest assured, you are in experienced and capable hands.

Your peace of mind: insurance and contracts

Your peace of mind is paramount. I maintain full public liability insurance with The Academy of Professional Celebrants.  At our first meeting, a clear and comprehensive contract will be provided, outlining all agreed-upon details and services.

I ensure all administrative aspects are handled professionally and transparently, allowing you to focus on the celebration. 

Everything you share with me is handled with care, respect and, complete confidentiality. In my ceremonies, I  will only share what has been agreed. 

Understanding our payment process

I aim to make our payment process as straightforward as possible. A deposit is required upon booking to secure your chosen date and time. The full cost of our services is then settled 28 days prior to your ceremony. All details regarding payment schedules, including the deposit amount and final payment due date, will be clearly outlined in your contract.
